Al-Sahm Women was founded in early 2018 on the notion that professional women should benefit from women-only networking events, coaching sessions and in general opportunities to communicate, share visions, get help and get in touch with each other.
Who We Are
Al-Sahm Women was founded in early 2018 as a startup built on the notion that professional women should benefit from women-only networking events, coaching sessions and in general opportunities to communicate, share visions, get help and get in touch with each other. We believe that bringing women from the MENA, (Middle East, North Africa) and Mediterranean Europe regions, with our first European Hub in Malta, together to network, share ideas, and explore opportunities to invest, donate, and engage in the community around them will create long-lasting relationships and a support system for women who often find themselves alone in their industries. We believe that our networking group can become a place where women can not only facilitate each other’s professional goals, but also promote each other to positions of leadership, helping women become the “bosses” of their businesses and embrace opportunities to become specific industries leaders as well. It is in those positions that women’s voices will take on more power as change agents. We strive for inclusivity by offering women safe spaces to develop skills, strengthen their voices and access opportunities - making a more balanced society a reality.

What We Do
We are an organization built on success. Our members have fought for their place in key industries across the MENA region, Middle East and North Africa, but also across the Mediterranean Europe, and now hold an impressive array of leadership positions in trade, finance, NGOs, and government. We serve as a platform for these women to meet, discuss challenges they face and build connections in and out of their industries. We host private events, entertain pitches from promising female-run startups, and dedicate time and money to NGOs and women who are just starting out in their industries. We are in the business of promoting women and bringing women together
One of the biggest complaints we hear is that women go to conferences to network and build working relationships, and find themselves alone, as one woman among many men. While many of us have been able to be successful even with this social dynamic in place, we offer another opportunity to find like-minded women with an impressive array of skills and backgrounds.
